Chamelaucium uncinatum
A beautiful, dense, spreading Australian native shrub with masses of long lasting red, pink, purple or white waxy flowers which appear in late winter and can last well into summer.
Geraldton wax is one of Australia's most famous wildflowers. The cut flowers last for well over a week and are used in floristry all around the world.
With delicate and aromatic soft needle-shaped foliage in tones of green it makes a wonderful feature shrub, hedge or screening plant. in the garden has especially in areas with drier summers. The normal pink variety is more hardy than the darker colours. The foliage is aromatic when crushed. Give it a light trim after flowering. 2-5m H x 2-6m W.
Plant in full sun to light shade in well draining soil.
