A small deciduous tree with bold, deeply lobed leaves and insignificant flowers followed by medium to large pear-shaped fruit that starts out green, turning brown to dark purple when ripe, with pink/white flesh and a sweet flavour.. A vigorous and hardy tree that fruits January - February. A good, reliable cropper.
Plant in full sun in free draining, fertile soil. Self-Pollinating.
Figs prefer dry hot summers however they need regular watering when fruiting.
Use for fresh fruit, drying and jam.
