This is a vigorous growing plant producing an abundance of purple to black berries on a thornless trailing vine. They are sweet when fully ripe, and could be a bit tart if picked too early.
Plant in a well drained sunny position with well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until vine is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears in Spring. Suitable to plant on a trellis or fence for support.
Long trailing vines with large dusty purple coloured berries. The fruits are aromatic and a little tart to taste. Delicious eaten fresh or used in pies, jams, jellies and sauces
Used for fresh fruit, jams, cooking, pies, ice creams etc. This is a cross between a Raspberry, blackberry and Loganberry. New canes produce next season’s fruit.
Please note: Our bare root fruit trees are available for pre-order now and plants arrive in our nursery during June and July.
