Strong vigorous growing rhubarb producing thick green and red stems. When harvesting, cut stalks with a sharp knife at ground level, but once the stalks become too thin then cease. Rhubarb likes lots of water and regular feeding. Enjoys cool climates. Thick green/red stems with very sweet flavour - perfect for Desserts, Pies, Jams & Stewed.
Plant from Winter/Early Spring in Full Sun/Part Shade, 1-1.5m apart with the Crown just below the soil surface, in very rich organic, well drained soil. After planting add a cup of general purpose fertilizer per plant. Thrives on regular composting. Doesn’t like to be disturbed needs to be planted in a permanent position.
Ideally grown in a vegetable plot in a permanent position. The greenest variety produces some of the sweetest stems. Strong, Vigorous grower.
Harvest all year round once established.
