This old fashioned variety is a small thorny bush, bearing tart, greenish yellow striped fruit which is used for jams, cooking and pies.

Suitable to grow in containers, correct pruning is essential for good crops to be achieved. It is also more suited to cooler climates.
Plant in a well drained sunny position with well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until vine is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears in Spring. Prune side shoots in Summer after fruit crop.
