A very popular, compact and prolific tree with attractive evergreen leaves, that is more cold tolerant than other lemon varieties, making it ideal for Tassie backyards.
Flowering and fruiting all year-round, it produces sweet scented, creamy-white flowers with a purple base followed by a rounder, softer, deep yellow thin-skinned fruit with a slight orange tint when ripe. Meyer is a cross between a lemon and orange so the medium size fruit is sweeter than a lemon and has high juice content and a mild low acid flavour making it a very versatile fruit that turns a deep golden colour when fully ripe. 3-4m H x 3-4m W
One of the most popular citrus trees, particularly for the cooler regions, Meyer has a steady supply of fruit all year. Suitable to be grown in a large pot.
