The Gold Pierre de Ronsard is a hardy and healthy climber with bright light gold blooms. It is a great addition to the ‘Pierre de Ronsard®’ family of climbing roses and produces heritage style flowers almost continuously. It is perfect for a fence, wall, or pergola post and was voted ‘Best Climbing Rose’ at the Australian National Rose Trial Garden in 2022. Not fragrant.

Climbing Roses are perfect for transforming bare walls, fences, arches, and obelisks into stunning floral displays. These vigorous growers produce long, trailing stems that can be trained to cascade upwards or outwards, and come in a range of bloom styles, including Hybrid Tea, Floribunda, and Old Fashioned varieties, offering something to suit every taste.

To get the most out of your Climbing Rose, plant them approximately 2m apart and gently guide the canes in the desired direction. For the first few years, avoid pruning the bush to allow it to establish itself. Once established, only minimal pruning is necessary. To maximize blooming potential, try espaliering the long canes horizontally, which will encourage lateral growth and promote an abundance of flowers. With proper care and training, Climbing Roses will reward you with a breathtaking display of colour and fragrance.
