This low maintenance dwarf evergreen shrub is hardy and compact and makes a great low growing hedge. The dark green, leathery foliage has a slight twist to it, which gives a wonderful sense of movement in the garden. New growth is flushed with coppery tips. Sweetly scented, small white flowers appear in abundance in spring and summer and are followed by delightful, non-toxic, blue-black berries. 1m H x 50cm W.
Raphilepis 'Snow Maiden' is from the Indian Hawthorn family and is super hardy. It is salt & wind tolerant so great for coastal planting, and can tolerate drought, heat and light frosts. Performs well in semi shade so is useful for underplanting and looks spectacular when planted en masse.
Plant in full sun to part shade in free draining soil.
