The Salvia HEATWAVE series was introduced as a direct response to the current hot and dry climate that faces many Australian gardeners. Salvias have a great reputation as a water wise family that thrive in sunshine and dry, open soils.
This series is a compact range, in comparison to many other Salvias that have a tendency to spread and become leggy. The tighter foliage of the HEATWAVE series allows them to feature more prominently in the garden, providing colour right throughout the warmer months.
The evergreen, aromatic foliage is also a welcome addition to any garden, providing colour for a very long period from spring right through to autumn in most climates.
With 10 varieties in the HEATWAVE series, there's a colour to suit ever garden theme.

Great displays of vibrant coloured flowers, aromatic foliage and a compact habit. Very hardy and Easy to grow with low water requirements once established, they are quite dry tolerant requiring only occasional deep watering during extended periods of heat.
Select a sunny location in most soil types which are free draining. Feed in spring with a general purpose fertiliser for the best results. After a main lowering flush, trim the plant by half to encourage further flowering and a denser habit.
