MONSTERA SWISS CHEESE
$24.95
Monstera Adansonii
Large, heart-shaped leaves that develop holes as the plant ages and make the leaves resemble Swiss cheese is where this hugely popular houseplant gets its common name from.
Like its cousin Monstera deliciosa (also known as the Swiss cheese plant - confusing!), it has a relatively fast growth rate. Its vining habit makes it perfect for displaying draped from a high shelf or hanging basket, or train it on a pole support where it will create a lush tropical feel. A perfect addition to your indoor jungle!
Prefers indirect light indoors.
Prefers to be kept moist - not wet - a regular watering routine is essential. Poke your index finger into the top 5cm of soil to feel the moisture level - if it feels wet, let it dry out for a bit longer before watering but Don't let the soil dry out completely.
Over watering is the number 1 killer of house plants. Try watering once a week - take your plant out of any decorative pot, water, then allow all of the water to drain from the bottom of the pot before replacing in your decorative pot. Tip: Tilt your pot and hold for a moment to see if any water runs out - if not, it's ready to go back in it's place. Reduce your watering frequency during winter.
