Dwarf William Bon Chretien Pear Tree (Pyrus communis)

Commonly known as the Williams pear or Bartlett pear, the Dwarf William Bon Chretien Pear is a deciduous, compact, heavy-bearing fruit tree perfect for home gardens with limited space. Grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock, it grows to a manageable height of around 2.5 m, while still producing full-sized, high-quality fruit.

This variety produces medium to large pears with pale green skin that ripens to lemon-yellow, boasting a sweet, juicy flavour and fine, smooth texture. An early-season fruiter, the William Bon Chretien is ideal for eating fresh, cooking, or juicing, offering versatility straight from your garden.

Partially self-fertile, crop yield can be improved by planting another pear variety nearby, such as Beurre Bosch or Nashi Pear Nijisseiki.

This compact pear thrives in full sun with well-fertilised, well-drained soil, and is frost-tolerant once established, making it a reliable and rewarding addition to any orchard or garden. Ideal for pots or containers.
