Chilliwack is a high-yielding, self-fertile variety prized for its large, deep red, juicy berries. This Floricane raspberry produces abundantly in late spring to early summer (Nov/Dec) on last year’s canes, often followed by a second lighter crop in Feb/March, making it one of the most reliable dual-season producers.
Ideal for eating fresh, baking, or creating delicious jams, sauces, and desserts, Chilliwack thrives in cooler climates and prefers rich, well-drained soil in a spot protected from harsh afternoon sun. Canes reach around 2m and grow best with support such as a trellis or wall.
Planting & Care
• Plant 30cm apart and mound soil 10–15cm to aid drainage
• Mulch well and water regularly during warmer months
• Requires cold winters for good fruit set
• Prune fruited canes to ground level each winter; lightly thin remaining canes
