Hydrangea Sundae Fraise (Hydrangea paniculata) is an new variety that is an absolute show stopper!Sundae Fraise will be stunning in your garden or in a pot for many months with its abundance of large creamy white flowerheads that quickly take on soft pink shades in Summer before becoming true pink as Autumn settles in.
Sundae Fraise will cope with less shade than other Hydrangea varieties making this more versatile for use in gardens and pots, however some protection from the hot afternoon sun is recommended in warmer climates.
More sun hardy than other Hydrangeas, Hydrangea paniculata is a Hydrangea with a difference as the flower heads are cone-shaped instead of the usual rounded shape. Bearing large, very attractive flowers, the paniculata group of Hydrangeas are beautiful deciduous shrubs that add cottage garden charm wherever they are planted.
A well drained soil is required and regular watering is essential to keep these plants looking great over the Summer months.
Pruning after flowering is recommended to encourage larger flowers the following year.
