Hardy Water Lilies thrive in cooler regions.

Tropical Water Lilies prefer warm, tropical or subtropical climates.
Flowering Time:

Hardy Water Lilies bloom during the day, with flowers floating on or just above the water.

Tropical Water Lilies produce blooms that rise up to 30 cm above the surface and include both day- and night-flowering varieties.
Size:
Most water lilies feature flowers between 10–20 cm wide, making them ideal for adding bold colour and beauty to any pond.
How deep should I plant my water lilies?
For healthy growth and vibrant blooms, planting water lilies at the correct depth is key.
Miniature water lilies need just 5–10 cm of water above the crown (the growing tip that produces leaves), making them perfect for bowls and smaller water features.
Hardy and tropical water lilies thrive in deeper water, generally growing best in 40–60 cm. While they can survive in deeper water, planting them too deep may affect their growth and flowering.
