A dense, evergreen shrub, it is grown for its small, tight, glossy foliage and bushy habit - commonly seen in gardens trimmed as a low hedge or to topiary shapes and is often used to create Knot Gardens and Mazes.
Very popular and extremely easy to grow and maintain they will adapt to most conditions whether sunny or shady, wet or dry. Will grow in almost any soil type but prefers humus rich loam.
