Cara Cara Navel Orange Tree – Sweet Pink-Fleshed Citrus
The Cara Cara Navel Orange is a deliciously sweet, virtually seedless citrus variety prized for its stunning pinkish-red flesh, refreshing flavour and low acidity. Often described as having subtle berry-like notes, these beautiful oranges offer a delightful combination of sweetness and juiciness, making them one of the most sought-after navel orange varieties.
Producing medium to large fruit with a glossy, textured orange rind and vibrant ruby-pink flesh, Cara Cara Oranges are rich in vitamin C and perfect for enjoying fresh, juicing, adding to fruit salads or making delicious homemade marmalades and preserves.
This attractive evergreen citrus tree features lush, glossy green foliage and beautifully fragrant white blossoms, followed by a generous crop of colourful oranges that typically ripen during winter. Self-pollinating and highly ornamental, the Cara Cara Orange Tree makes a wonderful addition to home orchards, Mediterranean-style gardens, sunny courtyards and patios. It can also be grown in large containers or trained as an espalier against a sunny wall.
Cara Cara Orange Trees thrive in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a warm, sheltered position protected from strong winds, particularly during flowering and fruit development. Young trees are frost-sensitive and benefit from protection during cold weather.
Combining fragrant blossoms, attractive evergreen foliage and exceptionally sweet, pink-fleshed fruit, the Cara Cara Navel Orange is an outstanding choice for gardeners wanting a productive and beautiful citrus tree.
