CUMQUAT MEIWA 165MM

Meiwa Cumquat (Kumquat) – Sweet Dwarf Citrus Tree

The Meiwa Cumquat is a highly prized evergreen citrus tree, renowned for producing some of the sweetest and most delicious cumquats available. Its small, round to oval, bright orange fruits feature a tender, edible rind and juicy flesh with a delightful sweet-tart flavour, making them ideal for eating fresh straight from the tree.

This attractive, self-pollinating citrus variety produces masses of beautifully fragrant, creamy-white flowers, followed by an abundance of colourful fruit. Unlike many other cumquat varieties, Meiwa is particularly popular for fresh eating, although its delicious fruit is also perfect for marmalades, jams, preserves, candied fruit and homemade liqueurs.

Naturally compact and slow-growing, the Meiwa Cumquat is an excellent choice for growing in large pots, courtyards, patios and smaller gardens. Typically reaching around 1 - 2 metres when container-grown, it can develop into a larger tree of approximately 3 - 4.5 metres when grown in the ground under favourable conditions.

Cold-tolerant once established, this ornamental and productive citrus tree thrives in a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil. Its glossy evergreen foliage, fragrant blossoms and vibrant orange fruit provide year-round garden appeal.

Perfect for gardeners seeking a compact, productive citrus tree with exceptionally sweet, edible fruit.
