Pincushion Hakea
An attractive evergreen Australian native large shrub to small tree. Bluish, long, leathery leaves are thick and smooth with prominent veining and have a tendency to wave and curl. Stunning 'pincushion' like flowers appear from autumn to late winter in colours of cherry red, white, pink and cream.
A great tree for smaller gardens. Great feature tree. Can be used as a screening tree or an informal hedge. This plant is shallow rooted plant, so can be affected in windy weather.
Plant in full sun for best results in free draining soil. Will tolerate part shade.
