Native to tropical South America, they can be found growing in the cracks between rocks - often near waterfalls where they're in constant humidity and moist conditions so they will do particularly well in terrariums and bathrooms with bright light. Keep your Maidenhair fern moist and the air around it humid and it will thrive. Regular misting or setting the pot on a tray of wet pebbles will assist with creating humidity.
