Nagami Cumquat is a compact, cold-hardy citrus tree well suited to growing in Tasmania. It produces elegant, teardrop-shaped deep orange fruit with a distinctive sweet-tart flavour. The fruit can be eaten whole, with the tangy, acidic flesh beautifully balanced by the sweeter, aromatic rind.

Naturally small and bushy, it is ideal for gardens, courtyards and large pots, combining attractive evergreen foliage with fragrant white blossom and colourful winter fruit. Flowering typically occurs from late spring, with fruit ripening over an extended period.

The fruit contains few seeds and is delicious eaten fresh straight from the tree, candied, preserved or made into homemade marmalade.

A productive and highly ornamental citrus tree, Nagami Cumquat is an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a compact fruit tree that performs well in Tasmania’s cooler climate.
