Prunus persica var. nucipersica – 'May Grand’
This delicately flavoured nectarine features yellow freestone flesh and beautifully coloured red-blushed skin. The medium to large fruit has a rounded to oblong shape, showcasing a bright red blush over a yellow-green backdrop.
With its firm texture and exceptional flavour, this early-season variety matures in mid-December and produces well. It’s ideal for fresh eating, drying and cooking.
For optimal growth, plant in a sunny location with well-drained soil.
Self Pollinating. Grows up to 4 x 4 m
Plant it in well-drained, well-prepared soil, ensuring the bud union is above soil level. Water thoroughly and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilise at planting and again after new growth appears.
Supplied as a bare rooted tree.
