Prized for its dark velvet red, exhibition blooms that have a deep, heavy fragrance. An upright, vigorous bush to 1.2m. A good and very popular rose.

One of the World's all-time favourite roses, inducted into the Rose Hall of Fame in 1988.

Hybrid Tea roses have been the leading class of rose since their development in 1867.
They produce classic, full petalled flowers with one bloom per long stem, although side buds may be evident. The general growth habit of a Hybrid Tea rose is a V shape.  Many have a fragrance and are excellent for cut flowers.
