An attractive, evergreen shrub that adds colour and texture in the garden with its coppery new growth and masses of drooping, bell shaped flower tassels in late winter - early spring.
Plant in a part shade - part sun position that is sheltered from wind and frost, in moist, lime-free, humus-rich and well drained soil. Perfect beneath deciduous trees and in containers - water regularly -don't allow to dry out. Retain moisture and to keep roots cool by using an organic mulch.
Deadhead after flowering.
