Pinus thunbergii
'Thunderhead' is a striking cultivar of the Japanese Black Pine, featuring dark green, needle-like foliage with white-tipped ends that appear each winter. It has a more upright, columnar form compared to the standard Pinus thunbergii.
Plant in fertile, well-drained soils with medium moisture and full sun. It can tolerate light afternoon shade and has some drought resistance.
