RHUBARB CRIMSON GIANT 1 PACK

Rhubarb ‘Crimson Giant’ is a vigorous, easy-to-grow variety producing large crimson stems with rich deep red flesh and excellent flavour. Growing up to 1.5 metres tall, this reliable and productive rhubarb delivers abundant harvests from late September through to July, making it a fantastic addition to productive gardens.

Perfect for pies, crumbles, jams and desserts, ‘Crimson Giant’ thrives in a sunny position with rich, well-drained soil and rewards gardeners with years of low-maintenance growth. Best stem colour develops during the cooler months, and plants perform best in climates with a cold winter.

Plant details: A hardy perennial vegetable growing up to 1.5m high. Prefers full sun but will tolerate part shade. Supplied as a bare rooted plant. Harvest stems by gently pulling mature stalks from the crown. Remove flower stems as they appear and harvest lightly in the first year to encourage strong establishment. Crowns can remain productive for up to 5 years before dividing.

Caution: Rhubarb leaves are toxic and must not be eaten. Only the stalks are edible.
